Tech for Expanding Civic Space

Draftlab supported proposal evaluation for a regional hackathon programme developing civic tech across Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. Working with CLi, we assessed applications across four thematic scenarios: community fact-checking, secure organising, digital security, and youth-led campaigning. We selected five teams for an in-person hackathon in Bangkok and follow-on mentorship. The selected grantees came from Armenia, North Macedonia, Ukraine, Georgia, and Kosovo.
